Have you got the Monday blues? We can’t blame you. Weekends are great fun and then Monday rolls around and it’s time for most of us to get back to the daily grind. Some Mondays require even more effort than others to get back into the groove of the week. It’s great to have something to look forward to. The Comet Tavern has your back. Our trivia nights are sure to give you something exciting to look forward to at the end of the grind of a mundane Monday.
Themed Trivia Nights
Quiz night at the Comet Tavern is fun and exciting with a theme to guide you. Each month, the pub runs quizzes with questions based on the chosen theme. The themes are far from cheesy or the regular run-of-the-mill themes you’d find at most quizzes. The themes at Comet Tavern are quite unique. For example, this May’s theme was ‘Black Girl Magic’ a great opportunity to test your knowledge on black women icons that have shaped history. June’s theme of ‘Loud & Proud – Pride Edition’ was even more challenging and exciting. It was an opportunity for guests to test their knowledge on black icons in the LGBTQ community.
The Comet Tavern’s pub quiz runs every Monday from 8pm. Teams are formed and asked questions based on the theme of the month. The team that wins gets a great prize. There’s a grand prize at the end of the month for the team with the most cumulative wins that month. June’s grand prize was weekend passes to the Capitol Hill Block Party.

Monday’s tend to drag on for hours on end. They can seem to be longer than most days of the week. This won’t be the case when you’ve got something to look forward to at the end of the day.
